
Louis Tomlinson (born Louis Troy Austin, 24.12.1991) Louis Tomlinson is an English singer and a member of the pop boy band One Direction.
Childhood: Louis Tomlinson was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. His parents are Johannah Poulston and Troy Austin but they split when he was young and he took on his stepfather Mark Tomlinson's surname. He was an extra on 'Fat Friends' after two of his sisters had infant roles on the show. He attended a drama school in Barnsley and subsequently had small roles in ITV movie 'If I Had You' and BBC school drama series 'Waterloo Road'. He also attended Hayfield School before going on to Hall Cross School after failing his A levels. Before One Direction, he had jobs at a cinema and as a waiter at Doncaster Rovers football stadium. Louis was in several school productions including landing the main part in 'Grease'.
Musical career: Louis Tomlinson auditioned as a solo artist on 'The X Factor' in 2010 but failed to reach judges houses. He was placed in a group with four other failed candidates; Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles; and eventually went on to judges houses in the groups category. They all agreed on the band name One Direction after it was put forward by Styles. They came third place in the whole competition but nonetheless landed a recording contract with Syco Records after being mentored by Simon Cowell. One Direction have received numerous awards including two BRITs, three Teen Choice and an NME award, as well as having three UK number singles and a worldwide number one album.
Personal life: Louis Tomlinson had been dating his high school sweetheart Hannah Walker throughout his time on 'X Factor', but the broke up in 2011 due to his career commitments. He then began dating Eleanor Calder, after being introduced by Styles, who he has been in a relationship with for over a year. He has admitted to admiring artists such as Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran.
