Katy Perry is apparently a huge fan of 'Treasure' singer/songwriter Bruno Mars, and prior to her performance at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas this weekend, the singer revealed her hopes that they can one day get into the recording studio together.

"I've always said I'd wanna collaborate with Rihanna, but I'd love to collaborate with Bruno Mars," she told E! News on the pre-festival red carpet. "I always say, 'When I grow up, I wanna be the female version of Bruno Mars', cause he's so wildly talented in showing everybody that he has so much diversity in him."

The 28-year-old 'Roar' hit-maker is currently preparing herself for the release of her third studio album, Prism, and went on to tell reporters that we can expect plenty of catchy pop anthems that will make sure we're all hooked on Perry-mania. She added that the album is similar to the bubblegum sound of her last release, Teenage Dream, but added that the new record will also be a lot more personal. "I'm very proud of this record. It's very exciting," she added. "It's gonna make you dance, just like the last one but it's a lot more self-reflective."

At the Vegas showcase, Perry played her next single from the new album for the first time. 'Walking on Air' is a more dance-centric release than compared to 'Roar,' but will no doubt prove to be another success for the singer when it is released on iTunes on 30 September. Prism will be available to purchase on 22 October.
