Charlie Puth - Light Switch Music Video

  • 21 January 2022

Charlie Puth ditches his chips and recliner chair as he gets in shape to win back the love of his life in the video for his long awaited new single - 'Light Switch'. After months of teasers hinting at Puth's new track, 'Light Switch', the lead track from his forthcoming album, finally dropped on January 20th.

Tweeting about his first new music of 2022, Charlie posted, "First thing you’ll notice is my voice sounds different because I had my nose fixed and tonsils out…I sound less…scratchy hahah". Puth also sounds very upbeat, and very energised on his new song.

Puth's latest release is the first track to be featured from his follow up album to 2018's Grammy nominated 'Voicenotes' and is also his first since he and Sir Elton John released the single 'After All' towards the end of September last year.

On the new song Puth sings, "You turn me on like a light switch, When you’re movin’ your body around and around, Now, I don’t wanna fight this, You know how to just make me want, You turn me on like a light switch, When you’re movin’ your body around and around, You got me in a tight grip". Taking to Twitter after the song landed Charlie posted, "Just want to thank all of you for being patient with me for the last 5 months. LS needed to sound perfect. You’re the best fans I could ever ask for!"...adding as clarification about the lyrics that, yes, "When I sing “tight grip” it means exactly what you think it means by the way ok I’m done". Saucy!

Charlie's latest single was produced and co-written with long time collaborators Jake Torrey and JKash and was released via Atlantic Records Group.
