The 'Gossip Girl' Alternative Cast: Ashley Olsen And Rumer Willis Were Nearly Blair And Serena!

Can you imagine Ashley Olsen and Rumer Willis playing the Upper East Side It-girls?
While we can't imagine anyone other than Blake Lively and Leighton Meester playing the roles of Serena and Blair on ‘Gossip Girl’, casting director David Rapport has revealed that the two actress’ weren't the studio’s first choice. Instead Rumer Willis and Ashley Olsen were the studio's top picks to play the Upper East Side queens.
Meester, who wrote an op-ed article for the Huffington Post titled 'I'm Not a Tart: The Feminist Subtext of Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men,' did not hesitate when she was recently asked whether or not she considers herself a feminist during an interview with radio station B-93.7's Broadway's Electric Barnyard.

Kristen Bell Will At Last Appear On Gossip Girl For The Series Finale

After five years as narrator of the hit CW show, Kristen Bell will finally be appearing on Gossip Girl in person during the upcoming season finale.
Whilst it is known that the voice of the 'Gossip Girl' herself will be appearing on the show, it is as yet unknown as to whether Bell will actually be playing the show's namesake when she steps out from behind the microphone and in front of the camera. Just to keep us guessing, both Warner Bros. TV and The CW have remained mum on the whole situation, so you'll have to tune in to find out. With that said, we do know for sure that the anonymous gossiper will be revealed in the finale, 'New York, I Love You XOXOX.'
Earlier today the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress, who recently announced that she and her boyfriend, Dax Shepard, are expecting their first child together, took to Twitter to tell her fans about her final voice-over session, saying, "The saddest day I've had in a while...Last day on #gossipgirl Ill miss you, you snarky bitch!"

Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley are snapped by photographers shooting a scene together on the set of TV drama 'Gossip Girl' in New York City.
It was recently reported that an Australian tourist accidentally featured as an extra in the TV show when she wandered into Manhattan's Waldorf Astoria hotel in the hope of catching a glimpse of some of the cast. She ended up walking into a room where all the actors were preparing to film and ended up getting mistaken for an extra and getting her hair and make-up done by on-set stylists before filming for six hours

We see them walking along a sidewalk having a serious conversation before Rutherford walks away from him. Defer then goes up to him briefly before the scene is cut and she goes to get her hair and make-up touched up by the on-set stylists. She gets into a yellow cab parked on the sidewalk in preparation for a re-shoot of the scene

Penn is rumoured to star in upcoming satire One Night With You, which will be released in 2013. He will possibly co-star alongside Castille Landon, who plays a Hollywood starlet rocked by a series of scandals
