A new wave of artists has been announced for this year's pop fest.
More big names have been announced for the exciting 20th anniversary line-up of V Festival in Essex! Example, Maverick Sabre and former JLS band member Aston Merrygold join the already incredible bill alongside a host of others as the Summer weekend draws ever nearer.
Among the other new acts announced for the Hylands Park extravaganza on August 22nd and 23rd are Mark Ronson with a DJ set, Londoners Scouting For Girls, Jack Antonoff's Bleachers and Sweden's Youtube Music Award winner Tove Lo. They'll be adding to a fantastic set which also includes previously announced Kasabian, Sam Smith, Olly Murs, Hozier, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith and George Ezra.
Example will be doing something a little bit different, inviting DJ Wire into the performance, and this year marks another round for the rapper after his appearance at last year's V event. 'I can't wait to return to V Festival, the crowds never disappoint', he insists. 'A lot of people will be used to my shows with the live band behind me, but this time I'll be bringing DJ Wire as I want to put on a unique rave with a twist. I've been lucky enough to perform at festivals all over the world but there's always something special about V Festival - it feels like my home turf.'
Mark Ronson will perform a DJ set at V Festival 2015
Best known for his stint in 'The X Factor' group JLS, Aston Merrygold has gone solo and will be performing some of his new material from forthcoming debut album 'A Second Again'. 'I'm so excited to be performing at V Festival for the first time, it's going to be great fun!' He said. 'It has definitely been tough trying to contain myself, sitting on my hands waiting to get out there with new material, so I can't wait to finally share my music with everyone... bring it on!!!'
Ahead of the release of his second album 'Innerstanding', Hackney soul singer Maverick Sabre is also announced. 'It's been a busy year and what better way to celebrate than playing at one of the best festivals in the UK', he gushed. 'I'll be dropping some new tunes so really looking forward to getting out there and sharing them with my fans.'
Of course, more fun is to be had from the Glee Club Comedy Tent, the line-up of which so far includes the likes of Russell Kane, Frankie Boyle, Shappi Khorsandi and Nick Helm.
Weekend camping tickets are on sale now priced at £189. Booking fees apply.
