Katy Perry wants her new record to have a Scandinavian influence with ''beat and movement''.
Katy Perry wants to make music people can "hold hands and roller-skate to".
The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer says she is already putting together ideas for the follow-up to 'One For The Boys' and revealed she has been inspired by Scandinavian pop.
She said: "I'm kind of thinking I want to do my record like a mesh between 'Lovefool' by The Cardigans and 'The Sign' by Ace of Base. I want to make songs that people want to hold hands and roller-skate to."
Katy is preparing to release 'Starstrukk', her collaboration with 3OH!3 and says the track will offer fans a taste of what is to come.
She added: "I know that after being on the road for about a year and half, what I'm missing is a little bit of that 'Starstrukk' flavour.
"The new music will have that beat, that movement a little bit."
