Actors That Just Can't Stand The Sight Of Each Other

Freddie Prinze Jr Kiefer Sutherland Bill Murray Lucy Liu Rachel McAdams Ryan Gosling America Ferrera Kenny Baker Anthony Daniels

Recently, Freddie Prinze Jr. revealed that he thought Kiefer Sutherland was ‘the most unprofessional’ person he’d ever worked with during his time on the hit show 24 in 2010. While promoting his new Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels at the San Diego Comic-Con, the 38-year-old explained that he took a hiatus from Hollywood as a result of his difficulty playing Cole Ortiz on 24.

It would seem, then, that actors are often a lot better at their profession than we give them credit for. While viewers watch scenes of love, tenderness, friendship and camaraderie, backstage, certain actors have all sorts of problems with each other.

New 'Scooby Doo' Movie Announced In Wake Of Casey Kasem Death

Scooby Doo Matthew Lillard Freddie Prinze Jr Linda Cardellini Sarah Michelle Gellar

A brand new Scooby Doo movie has been given the green light by Warner Bros. just days after the announcement that the original Shaggy voice actor, Casey Kasem, had passed away. Whilst it's unlikely that the two headlines are anything more than a coincidence, the movie news is bound to receive a greater interest from those looking to remember the life of the radio star and actor.

The studio is said to be "starting from scratch" to create a brand new incarnation of the well-loved kid's mystery series, according to Deadline. Though very few details are known at this stage, the new movie will follow in the same vein as its predecessors in that it will be live action instead of animation.

Many will remember Warner Bros.'s two noughties live action reboots of the classic animated show, Scooby Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. The first of the two movies was an instant hit, earning $275m worldwide but its widely-panned, Razzie-winning, 2004 successor fell short of that figure by $90m and the series was halted.

Gellar's Baby Name Revealed! Is He Named After Classic Boxer?

Sarah Michelle Gellar Freddie Prinze Jr

Sarah Michelle Gellar's choice of baby name for her second child has finally been revealed, some two months after she and husband Freddie Prinze Jr welcomed the baby boy. Since the birth, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, 35, has managed to keep the name under wraps - until now.

After rumors began flying around the internet, Gellar's representative was forced to confirm to US Weekly that Rocky James is the name of their first little boy. Married for ten years, Gellar and Prinze Jr are already parents to 3-year-old Charlotte Grace, though it looks as though they've got a real fighter on their hands this time. Of course, Rocky is also the name of two of history's most famous fighters, Rocky Marciano and the fictional Rocky Balboa, played by Sylvester Stallone in six movies. The name is actually of English origins, and in its most literal sense means "stony" or "craggy", however, it's also used as a nickname for the Italian "Rocco" (the 14th-century saint). It's perhaps easier to locate to reasoning behind Rocky's middle name James, with father Freddy sharing the name middle moniker.

With no projects on the horizon, it seems as though Gellar is enjoying motherhood for the time being. Freddie recently voiced a character for the animation Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, though his schedule looks pretty empty too. With Rocky about, they're probably going to need all the spare time they have.

Delgo Review

Bad
Name the cinematic genre that's easiest to mess up, and sci-fi/fantasy is pretty high up on the list. Flights of imagination, when done correctly, resonate with a kind of clarity and cleverness that instantly connect with your own sense of wonder. On the other hand, when handled poorly, or missing just a minor beat here or there, the fairytale or fable becomes the most insufferable of celluloid experiences. While it wants to be an allegory about prejudice and the overcoming of same, the new CG spectacle Delgo is nothing more than routine ideas badly rendered.

Here's the idea. The Lockni live on the land. The Nohrin live in the sky. When the latter's situation worsens, they attack the former. Eventually, an uneasy truce is reached, both sides trying to live together in harmony. This makes Sedessa (Anne Bancroft -- yes, the one who died 3 1/2 years ago), the sinister sister of King Zahn (Louis Gossett Jr.), very unhappy. She wants to wipe out the Lockni once and for all. With the help of Raius (Malcolm McDowell) a turncoat general, and an army of social outcasts, she plans on finishing what her brother will not do. In the meantime, teenage Lockni Delgo (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and his buddy Filo (Chris Kattan) become embroiled in a problematic political controversy. When they save Nohrin Princess Kyla (Jennifer Love Hewitt) from harm, they bring the rising tensions between the sides to a rolling, war-like boil.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer Review

Weak
Ever since Scream came out in 1996, the teen horror movies have been revived. We've seen some good ones like Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Scream 2. But like most genres, there are some bad ones. Disturbing Behavior, and Urban Legend both were terrible. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is kind of in the middle.

The movie stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Julie James, the teenager who was stalked last summer by the person who she and her friends ran over the summer before that. Shouldn't the movie be called I Still Know What You Did 2 Summers Ago? Anyway, Julie and her roommate Karla (Brandy) win a trip to the Bahamas, even though Julie is still haunted by what happened last summer..

Well, as it turns out, she's not all that. She's like half that. Maybe less. I'd say 30 percent that.

70 percent crap.

Boys And Girls Review

Excellent
Boys and Girls plays like a college version of When Harry Met Sally..., with just as much fun and fewer contrivances. Here, the key couple is Ryan and Jennifer, who meet by chance on a plane as pre-teens, and continually bump into one another until their lives bisect at Cal-Berkeley. Ryan, played by Flavor of the Moment Freddie Prinze Jr., is a bright, sometimes awkward engineering student who loves planning and order; Jennifer, Meet Joe Black's Claire Forlani, majors in Latin for no particular reason and aims to travel. Both wish they could apply their positive personality traits to their floundering relationships, but it just doesn't work.

The smart script for Boys and Girls, written by the humbly-credited "Drews", succeeds in part because Ryan and Jennifer nurture their unique friendship for nearly all of the film. While the inevitable Hollywood ending may be in viewers' minds from the get-go, The Drews and director Robert Iscove keep us guessing if this pair might ever connect with each other, and the sweet performances by Prinze and Forlani keep us interested.. The couple's interplay, and the machinations of their separate, frustrating lovelives, are satisfying enough that a sunshiny ending is not required.

Scooby-Doo Review

Good

Zoiks! Like, man, some ghoulish fiend is turning party-hearty spring breakers into straight-laced zombies on the amusement park resort atoll Spooky Island! And for once you'll never guess (well at least not right away) who will be unmasked as the villain in the gleefully goofball live-action version of "Scooby-Doo."

Self-spoofing yet devoted to its inspiration, this campy comedy ex-cartoon escapade may be edited with a fire axe and aimed mainly at kids, but screenwriter James Gunn (a veteran of underground spoof studio Troma Films) and director Raja Gosnell ("Big Momma's House") know who the hardcore "Scooby" fans are. They're grown-ups who have fond memories of the Saturday morning cartoon about an oddball foursome of post-teen detectives and their bark-talking dog, but who have since come to realize how stupid it was.

Liberally sprinkled with humor that only adults will get -- like the winking implications that cowardly hippie Shaggy (played to squeaky-voiced perfection by Matthew Lillard) is a major stoner -- the movie assumes a working knowledge of "Scooby-Doo" and is very smart about being deliberately stupid. It makes sport of the TV show's repetitive plots ("I'd have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"). It pokes fun at the characters' personalities (perpetual damsel-in-distress Daphne, played with ditzy aplomb by Sarah Michelle Gellar, has become a black belt). And it's clever enough to know what parts of its source material worked and what didn't.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed Review

OK

Scooby and Shaggy save the day in "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" -- or to be more precise, they save the movie. The scaredy-cat dog and his whimpering stoner sidekick get all the laughs (and all the "eeewww!" gags), with such disparity that it's as if a different screenwriter (with half the wit) wrote the balance of the movie.

Alas, James Gunn (who wrote the first "Scooby" movie and last week's clever but dumbed-down "Dawn of the Dead" remake) penned the whole thing -- even the paid product placements for Burger King and the 15-minutes-of-fame sing-along cameo by "American Idol" winner Ruben Studdard.

Sigh.
