Lorn - Ask The Dust Album Review
|
Lorn releases his first album on Ninja Tunes, 'Ask The Dust', after switching from Brainfeeder. His new release brings a heavy industrial sound that is brooding, dark and edgy. This electronic soundscape is compelling, haunting and unique. The use of his own altered voice adds an eerie picture, combined with original dubstep sounding breaks, it's futuristic and challenging.
'Ask The Dust' is seriously haunting! Lorn is an artist that is bringing a sound not for the average Joe. The use of industrial bleeps and eerie bass sounds has an energy of Kraftwerk to me, without any of the pop. It's all elegantly put together demonstrating an artist with integrity whose desire to push the boundaries has to be appreciated.
