Indie pop quartet Saint Motel have released their 11-track debut album 'Voyeur' alongside the video for their catchy single '1997'.

The video is a bizarre take on out of body experience induced by a Marty & Elayne-esque '90s lounge band. The band witness the middle-aged duo at a bar before collapsing in their seats where ghostly versions of themselves rise out of their bodies towards the ceiling and start flying through the sky witnessing cities and places all around the world before returning to their respective bodies. The track is just as dreamlike and '90s with the simple use of keyboards and drums that create an anthemic tune one could just listen to over and over again. The chorus is particularly infectious; one of those that just attach themselves to the forefront of your mind for days though still feels fairly nonsensical.

Vocalist AJ Jackson reveals that he likes to put a surreal twist on all his tracks. 'While all the songs are based on what many would call 'absurd' subject matter, many of the songs have various levels of subtext that I hope the listener will decipher with repeated listens', he says, rather cryptically. With their album release show at the El Rey theatre in LA having been a sell-out success, we can't wait to have them cross the pond to the UK!
