Cameron In London For Titanic Premiere One Day After Dive

James Cameron turned up in London Tuesday night for the premiere of his 3D-enhanced re-release of Titanic -- just one day after completing his voyage to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, seven miles below the surface of the Pacific. "I felt like I literally, in the space of one day, had gone to another planet and come back," he told reporters. "It's been a very surreal day." With audiences for 3D movies falling away, it remains to be seen whether using computer technology to convert Cameron's 2D production will attract big audiences -- especially in areas of the world where the movie has already been screened theatrically. (It is expected to perform well in China, where it will be seen in theaters in most cities for the first time.) But Cameron told reporters at the premiere, "The 3D enriches all of 'Titanic 's' most thrilling moments and its most emotional moments."
