Lightships - Sweetness In Her Spark Music Video

Lightships' debut single, Sweetness In Her Spark, will be released on March 26th, 2012. It is taken from the album, Electric Cable, which will be released on April 2nd, 2012, through Domino Records. According to Lightships' official blog, work on Electric Cable started all the way back in September 2008.

The video for Sweetness In Her Spark was directed by The Black Forest and was shot in Glasgow. It also features footage of people heading to the beach and walking down a busy street.

Lightships is the side project of Teenage Fanclub's Gerard Love. Accompanying him on the upcoming Electric Cable are: Dave McGowan (guitar, Teenage Fanclub); Brendan O'Hare (drums, from the first incarnation of Teenage Fanclub); Tom Crossley (flute, International Airport and The Pastels) and Bob Kildea (bass, Belle & Sebastian).

Teenage Fanclub formed in 1989 in Benshill in Scotland. Their most recent album, Shadows, was their ninth studio album. It was released in May 2010 to critical acclaim and a place on the UK Album Charts at number 30. The band's highest charting album was Grand Prix, which was released in 1995 and reached number 7.
