Dog Eat Dog - Movie Review

  • 23 January 2006

Rating: 2.5 out of 5

No, they didn't make a movie about that awful game show. This is a typical latter-day Jayne Mansfield cheapie production, shot in Yugoslavia and featuring a frequently half-dressed Mansfield frolicking about for no particular reason. Never mind the plot (about a group of thieves who steal a load of currency, then fight over it), this is Mansfield's showcase, made just three years before her death and apparently five years after she lost any sense of modesty. One of the first and most memorable scenes features Jayne rolling on a bed covered with cash. Later scenes continue this trend. It's worth watching, especially if, like many, you've never had the chance to see Mansfield's work film. Er, excuse me: "Work."
