Zoe Kravitz is ''trying to love herself more'' but thinks she ''will always compare'' herself to other beautiful women.
Zoe Kravitz is ''trying to love herself more.''
The 26-year-old actress, who recently revealed she battled an eating disorder until her early twenties, thinks she ''will always compare'' herself to other beautiful women.
The 'Mad Max: Fury Road' star said: ''I think it's important for people to hear that people within the industry feel that, too. I will always compare myself to the beautiful blonde bombshell with huge boobs. It's the name of the game.''
But the actress has put her ''issues with food'' behind her and has learned to appreciate her uniqueness.
She told PEOPLE magazine: ''I'm coming into a place where I'm trying to love myself more and not let that affect me. This is the way I'm made and this is it, so I'm going to go with it.''
The starlet first realised she had a problem when she was 17.
She said: ''It was really, really bad in high school. When I was 16, 17, 18, it was at its worst and it trickled into my early 20s.
''You convince yourself it's okay but you know you have a problem.''
Zoe plays an anorexic girl in her new film, 'The Road Within,' but insists her parents, Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, weren't worried about her taking on the role.
She explained: ''I think me talking about it so candidly is comforting to them. I wouldn't talk about it - I don't think - if I wasn't feeling better.
''Even though it kind of triggered everything back up for me, it allowed me to really confront it and then hopefully let it go forever.''
