Zico Chain Food Single

Still bubbling under on the scene despite Download festival appearances and a quality mini album release, one can imagine that the Zico Chain are looking for their first full length album to be the one that pushes them into the mainstream of public consciousness.

This release shows no real development in terms of style, remaining firmly in the punky 'rawk' genre. Comparisons have to be drawn once again with the likes of The Almighty - very much Brits looking to sound like American post-grunge.

It's by no means a bad album - it's heavy, up-tempo and well produced, it's just that they really need to step up their game and develop something a little more original about their sound or they run the risk of just being a really good support band.
