Former Miss Great Britain Zara Holland came face to face with the pageant’s current title holder Deone Robertson during her appearance on Thursday’s ‘Loose Women’. Appearing on the panel show, Holland defended herself after being stripped of the title and said rival Robertson didn't deserve the crown.

“She didn't win the competition and she doesn't deserve it,” Holland said after being confronted with Robertson on the live show. “I stand up for women and if it was me, I wouldn't have taken it.” But Robertson hit back, saying that if she hadn’t of stepped up, someone else would have.

Former Miss Great Britain Zara Holland has spoken out about her ‘de-crowning’ saying that pageant organisers were wrong to take away her title. Speaking to The Sun, the 20-year-old said she had “done nothing wrong” by choosing to have a one-night-stand with fellow ‘Love Island’ contestant Alex Bowen.

An online petition asking Miss Great Britain organisers to give Zara Holland her title back has gathered over 8,500 signatures. Holland was stripped of her title by the organisation last week, after she was seen having sex on reality show ‘Love Island’ with fellow contestant Alex Bowen.

Thousands of fans have signed a petition to give Zara Holland her Miss GB title back.

The petition reads: “As you are aware Zara Holland is Miss Great Britain and is on a reality TV show called Love Island, she is there to find love and it is not working out as much as she hoped. Recently Zara had a fumble which was aired on the show and now unfortunately this has cost her the title of Miss Great Britain.

Zara Holland, the recently “de-crowned” Miss Great Britain has left ITV reality show ‘Love Island’ after learning her mother has fallen ill. The 20-year-old was stripped of her Miss GB title earlier in the week, after scenes aired showing her having sex with fellow constant Alex Bowen on Wednesday night.

In a statement ITV said: "Owing to an illness in the family, Zara Holland has left the Love Island villa to return to the UK. Our thoughts are with her and her family and we send all of our best wishes.”

The reign of Miss Great Britain has been abruptly cut short by the organisation that crowned her after her romp with Alex Bowen on 'Love Island' on Wednesday (June 15th 2016). The crown has been passed on to pageant runner-up Deone Robertson for the remainder of the year.

20-year-old Zara Holland and former Miss Hull spent the night with her date, newcomer and Vicky Pattison's ex-boyfriend Alex Bowen, on Wednesday's episode of ITV2 reality show 'Love Island' where they ended up having sex. Zara had been given a choice between Alex and James Khan upon their arrival at the Island as to who she wanted to take on a date. She was later given the choice to stay overnight in their private room or return to their usual sleeping arrangements.
