Snyder’s box office credentials aside, fans are right to have their reservations about Snyder directing the Justice League film. Whist he has no problem delivering the action that a big budget superhero movie needs, where Snyder often lacks is in storytelling and character development and that might prove a massive problem for the Justice League. Unlike when we finally got the major superhero collective of The Avengers on screen together, when the Justice League comes we still wont be too familiar with the characters. If it falls on Snyder to give us a reason to be invested in all these superheroes, the movie might just end up being one big crowded mess.

The other worry is that with Snyder’s DC movie tally now at three, will it fall to him to direct all future DC flicks? If so we might want to get out now. Really in order to ensure the DC universe can come even close to equalling Marvel, many more creative minds will need to be at work, delivering many more stand alone films. Really after Sucker Punch, could we trust Zack Snyder to make a Wonder Woman movie?

Is Zack Snyder the man for the job? We hope so, because it seems right now with Warner Bros he’s all we’ve got. Clearly Warner has big plans for the DC universe but it often seems as if they’re rushing things to jump on the very lucrative superhero bandwagon. With Snyder we’ll have to see how the ‘as yet untitled’ Batman vs Superman movie turns out before we can really asses his involvement in the budding franchise. But really, it better be good or else, sadly, the Justice League could be the comic book world’s biggest on screen disaster yet.
