Barack Obama showed off his acting chops when he was interviewed by Zack Galifianakis on ‘Between Two Ferns’. The President of The United States traded insults with The Hangover star as the pair discussed healthcare reform, bad third movies, the problems with North Ikea and basketball.

Zach GalifianakisZach Galifianakis and Obama really went at it

It was Mr Obama that kicked off the insults, saying, "When I heard that people actually watch this show, I was actually pretty surprised." To which Zack (I’m not spelling his name out every time) replied: "What is it like to be the last black president?" "What's it like for this to be the last time you ever talk to a president?" Mr Obama replied."It must kind of stink, though, that you can't run three times?" continued Zak.

Mr Obama replied: "If I ran a third time it would be like doing a third Hangover movie. It didn't really work out very well, did it?" Round 1: Obama. Then came healthcare. "I wouldn't be with you here today if I didn't have something to plug" says Obama, introducing Healthcare.gov. "That's the thing that didn't work?" asks Galifianakis. "Why would you get the guy that created the Zune to make your website?" Obama didn’t have much of a response.

The whole interview saw both host and guest stay in character as they tried to outgun one another without so much as raising their voice. For all the cynics who believe (know, because it’s an undisputed fact) that Obama has to do these type of things to keep his public opinion metre with the younger generation tipping over ‘Cool, OK’ and not dropping into ‘I DON’T KNOW WHAT HE’S DONE BUT HE’S BAD’.

And then President Obama hit the panic button, which revealed the show was in fact being filmed inside The White House."Thanks for letting me shoot my show here all these years," said Galifianakis, claiming former President George Bush had given him clearance to film in the Diplomatic Room.
