Media empire Time Warner Inc. and satellite TV network provider Dish Network Corp. have agreed a new distribution deal which will apparently include making HBO available through Dish’s new online TV streaming offering.

Those with Sling TV, which is Dish’s web TV service, will be able to subscribe to HBO for an extra $15 per month. However, newcomers will not be able to subscribe to HBO using this method unless they also purchase the existing $20 per month online service that already includes other Time Warner channels (like CNN, TBS and ESPN) and add the HBO subscription on top of it, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The agreement is expected to rolled out within the next fortnight, with an obvious goal of the April 12th premiere of the fifth season of HBO’s flagship ‘Game of Thrones’ that Dish will want to be able to make available in time for their customers.

Customers will be able to get one of HBO’s 13 channels permanently, and will have access to their entire on-demand back catalogue as well. HBO’s distribution executive Tom Woodbury commented in a statement: “It has always been our desire to make the HBO subscription widely accessible. Sling TV is a part of that ongoing evolution and we believe HBO is a great addition to the platform.”

Time Warner also released a statement on Wednesday, saying: “Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting and HBO have successfully completed separate distribution agreements with Dish. We’re pleased that the Dish customers we all serve can continue to enjoy Turner and HBO’s popular programming on multiple platforms.”

Last fall, talks on a new contract between the two companies collapsed temporarily, leaving Time Warner channels disconnected to Dish users throughout America for a 24-hour period. The following evening, a temporary agreement was reached restoring those channels, and this new deal expands further upon that.
