LA's finest proponents of Punk-Pop, The Linda Lindas, release their first music of 2022 with their brand new track - 'Growing Up'. Lucia de la Garza, the band's 15 year old vocalist and guitarist, wrote the song about "people that make you want to stay young forever".
The Linda Lindas latest track, their follow up to their December release, 'Nino', will feature on the band's debut album, also titled - 'Growing Up'. The 12 track album is scheduled to be released on April 8th via Epitaph Records and will contain some of the band's previous singles including their breakthrough track 'Racist, Sexist Boy', 'Oh' and 'Nino'.
The video for The Linda Lindas latest track was shot entirely on an i-Phone 13 Pro Max and was directed by Opening Brand co-founder Humberto Leon. Just as the new single dropped the band tweeted, "Hi Our new song “Growing Up” is out everywhere! New album “Growing Up” will be out April 8th and is available for pre-order".
The very young band, made up of Bela Salaza, Eloise Wong, Lucia and Mila de la Garza, are all still in their teens but have already made quite a name for themselves after last year's release - 'Racist, Sexist Boy' went viral. This year seems to be shaping up to be an even bigger one for the Los Angeles based band. Last night they made an appearance on The Late Show with James Corden and tonight they will host "a live-streamed mini-concert from Leo’s CHIFA restaurant in east LA". Fans can view the event via "Warby Parker’s Instagram".
The Linda Lindas have also joined the line-up for the first 'When We Were Young' emo festival which is set to take place in "Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 22nd, 23rd, and 29th", 2022. More tour dates are due to be announced shortly to add to support slots already planned for The Beths, Jawbreaker and Best Coast.
