Following the release of his latest album earlier this month scarlxrd has premiered a video for one of the new songs on it, 'LEECHES'. scarlxrd released his twelfth album 'Dxxm II' at the start of February after he'd already dropped three singles, 'Evil Egx', 'Red Light' and 'Let the Wxrld Burn', from it in quick succession through January.
The prolific Wolverhampton rapper, who is only twenty six, has an impressive back catalogue and an ever growing reputation for creativity and artistry. Marius Lucas Antonio Listhrop, also formally known as Mazzi Maz, is now at the forefront of his own style of pioneering "trap metal".
Taking to Instagram and Twitter scarlxrd announced the arrival of his latest video thus, "LEECHES,, XUT NXW! Run it up. LXVE". scarlxrd's intensity and power is undiminished on the latest track to be featured from his 21 song album. The vocal is a full on aural onslaught that is unrelenting and intimidating. scarlxrd delivers a venomous, feral vocal full of rage, anger and pointed frustration. "Leeches, I'm so sick of these leeches, Out for blood if you're breathing, Pick your poison to pieces, I'm so sick of these..." scarlxrd screams like a man possessed by demons.
In the video to accompany the song a masked and chained scarlxrd plays out a near BDSM character through constant strobing and video interference. Be thankful that the song is only 2m13s long as listening to it, and watching the video, are not something you should subject yourself to for long periods. Intense is too polite a word for 'LEECHES', it requires it's own definition, it's not for those of a weak disposition that's for sure.
