Following the re-issue of her 2020 album, 'Queen Of Da Souf', in deluxe, extended format Mulatto shares her latest release from it, 'Sex Lies'. Her forth single of the year follows April's 'No Hook', May's 'He Say She Say' and July's 'Muwop'.
Last time around, for her summer release, Mulatto teamed up with Gucci Mane but for 'Sex Lies' she's collaborated with Lil Baby. The soon to be 22 year old Atlantan rapper, born Alyssa Michelle Stephens, is no stranger to hooking up with another artist on her songs having previously worked with the likes of Lil Dokes, Derez DeShon, Coco Vango and Molly Brazy to name but a few.
For 'Sex Lies' Alyssa sings with fellow Georgian Lil Baby on a song not included on the original album release back in August. 'Sex Lies' takes a lot of influence from TLC's 'No Scrubs' in the first few bars and repeats the revolving guitar hook throughout the laid back, soulful track. Mulatto is in a more mellowed out mood as she sings with Lil baby joining her to rap over the warped bass line from the half way point onwards.
The video that has been shared for the song sees Mulatto, aka Big Latto, in a club setting where the audience are wearing gas masks. As she preps for the show in the dressing room with her three assistants D.C. Young Fly starts his warm up routine on stage.
Mulatto's bejewelled, blinged up outfit leaves little to the imagination before she takes to the stage herself in 'Big Latto's Sex Lies Experience'. Images switch between Mulatto singing in a huge cocktail glass to her doing a Carmen Miranda impression among a very fruity back drop before joining Lil Baby for a photo shoot.
The socially distanced, masked audience look on captivated before applauding as Mulatto concludes her provocative and somewhat surreal performance.
