In a small town in France, there are two potential options for a group of friends: Working for MacDonald's, or joining the army. Arnaud Labrède (Kévin Azaïs) has met a girl - well, he's seen a girl. To his friends, there's something strange about her. Madeleine (Adèle Haenel) is the toughest person they have ever seen, and they think something is strange about her. But Arnaud knows she wants to join the most brutal, strenuous and dangerous unit of the French Army there is, and he grows to respect that in her. When she goes to training camp, he follows her - and he has no idea what he's getting himself into.
