Dublin musician Eoin Glackin kicks off our week with a video for his newest song 'Hello Caroline', taken from his forthcoming self-titled studio album which he will release on July 20th 2015 through IRL Records.
The highly amusing video features Glackin doing his 'Hello Caroline' screen test, playing his guitar and meeting a variety of different potential female co-stars on set, some of which he appears to have a strong chemistry and some which turn out to be particularly awkward encounters. The hilarious antics really add to the upbeat vibe of the track, which is sing-a-long folk tune with infectious harmonies and an Irish instrumental twang.
The upcoming album follows his debut on Sony Ireland, and has been produced by Ian Grimble (who has previously worked alongside the likes of Manic Street Preachers, The Clash and Beth Orton) with an exciting collaboration with highly acclaimed fellow Dubliner Gavin Glass. Glackin has already become a radio sensation, and even spread his talent across the festival circuit at Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions, Sligo Live and Celtic Connections. This year he'll also be playing Livestock Longdon Festival and Bingley Live Festival, following his album launch show at London's Relentless Garage on July 25th 2015.
