Ahead of his hotly anticipated second album release Tom Grennan has teamed up with Ella Henderson for their new song, 'Let's Go Home Together'. It's Tom's second single of the year having released 'Little Bit Of Love' in early January. For Ella Henderson this his her first release of the year and her first since her festive hook-up with AJ Mitchell on, 'Blame It On The Mistletoe'.
Grennan is clearly getting very excited about the imminent release of his sophomore album, 'Evering Road', which is due out on 5th March. His follow up to one of the best selling albums of 2018, 'Lighting Matches', is set to supercede the achievements of his debut full length record. Taking to Twitter Tom Grennan celebrated with, and thanked his fans, by posting, "You've only gone and done it... my first ever top 40 single and it's with not one but two tracks!! LITTLE BIT OF LOVE at #32 and LET'S GO HOME TOGETHER at #28 with @EllaHenderson. Now let’s keep them there and get EVERING ROAD to the top! Thank you so much you lot are the best."
'Let's Get Home Together' gives both vocalists the chance to showcase their individual voices, and doesn't favour one above the other. The arrangement let's both Tom and Ella sing in an unpressured, symbiotic set of duets that are harmonised to perfectly set one vocal aside the other.
The gentle balladic song, neatly accessorised with light horns, soft percussion and understated piano builds steadily throughout as both Henderson and Grennan become more animated until the final, drop the mic, note.
The video, shot in a pub, sees the pair of singers initially sat at different tables with their own set of mates as they exchange knowing glances. Tom sings, "I'm never that good in a crowded room" before he and his mates join the ladies table.....the rest, well, you'll have to watch the video!
