With her third album ‘Planet Her’ having just dropped, Doja Cat expresses her Libra self in the Grecian video for her latest single ‘You Right’ featuring The Weeknd.
The video, directed by Quentin Deronzier, opens with an ancient Greek city in the clouds and sees Doja Cat wearing her hair in the shape of the Libra glyph while standing beside a large set of symbolic scales weighing a pulsating heart.
Doja Cat was determined to work with The Weeknd on her new album, and ‘You Right’ became the perfect song.
“He was obsessed with it and that's kind of all I wanted was a very good reaction”, she said. “It’s a beautiful, beautiful song.”
‘Planet Her’ is something of a concept album, thematically surrounding a planet of peace and harmony. It comes less than two years since she dropped her critically acclaimed second record ‘Hot Pink’, featuring the number one single ‘Say So’ which went on to be remixed by Nicki Minaj.
With guest appearances from Young Thud, Ariana Grande, JID and SZA, previous singles from the record include lead track ‘Kiss Me More’ and the promotional release ‘Need to Know’.
