Deno has hooked up with J.I the Prince of N.Y and Chunkz on his latest single, 'Lingo'. This is the 'Self Obsessed' and 'Circles' singer's first release of 2021 and follows up his previous single from October last year, 'Daily Duppy'. The Brixton born singer-songwriter and actor, who is only 18 years old, has been making quite a name for himself ever since he worked on Stormzy's debut album, 'Gang Signs & Prayers'.
To date Deno, real name Deno Michael Mebrahitu, has released a string of singles since he dropped 'London' with A.J and EO back in May 2018. Chunkz last release, like Deno, was also back in October last year when he collaborated with Yung Filly on 'Hold'. J.I the Prince of N.Y has so far this year only released the Spotify Singles, 'Letter 2 U - Acoustic' and 'Marvin's Room' in early January.
All three artists are no doubt set to benefit from the exposure this latest release will bring them. Deno's profile has been steadily rising for the past three years and it is set to rise further still with 'Lingo'.
Deno's latest single is the lead track from his forthcoming mixtape album due out in mid May. Taking to Twitter Deno said, "It’s been a long wait but finally my mixtape BOY MEETS WORLD is out May 14th." 'Boy Meets World will be Deno's biggest collection of songs to date, his previous being the 2019 EP 'Eye 2 Eye'.
In the video for 'Lingo' Deno is not afraid to flash the cash as he liberally distributes his stash. "Cos money mad, We ain’t ever had no bags, Really came from the bottom of the ground, So it’s crazy now we got bands, Me and you is a different ratio, Counting up my p’s while I’m on the radio, Aiming for the top" he sings, appreciative of his new found wealth.
