Chlöe channels her inner Medusa as she turns frat boys into stone in the video for her debut solo single - 'Have Mercy'. The singer, formerly part of the Bailey sister duo Chlöe x Halle, even enlists the help of one Tina Knowles Lawson, aka Beyonce’s mom, in the video for the long awaited song.
Chlöe goes through countless wardrobe changes, including a stunning full length black dress, baby pink bra and pant set, gold bikini with matching jacket, a jewel encrusted pink number and an electric pink hooded ensemble as she entices the young campus frat boys along the way.
The Karena Evans (Drake/Sean Paul/Belly) directed video that accompanies Chlöe's long awaited debut single is a technicolor delight spliced with some memorable choreography courtesy of Chlöe and her crew. Other cameos in the film include 'HOT HOT' singer Bree Runway and Canadian record producer, DJ and songwriter Murda Beatz.
Chlöe will perform her debut solo single in full at this weekend's MTV VMA awards at the Barclays Center, New York. The event, which is being hosted by 'Kiss Me More' artist Doja Cat, will mark Chlöe's first solo performance since her days performing as Chlöe x Halle. She said in a recent Billboard interview that "I’m creating my own lane, as well as paying homage to the ones who have inspired me. It has been fun finding my voice."
'Have Mercy' is also the lead single from Chlöe's debut album which is also due out later this year. The last album to feature the Grammy nominated artist was the Chlöe x Halle's album 'The Ungodly Hour' released in June 2020.
