Bugzy Malone is channeling his inner 'Wolf Of Wall Street' in the video for his latest single, 'Skeletons'. The now thirty year old Manchester rapper, born Aaron Davis, is recounting his life story in the autobiographical track. Malone, the self proclaimed 'King Of The North', is in an uncompromising and reflective mood on his new song as he sings, "I'm a made man now but I was a recruit like Leonardo was to McConaughey."
Recalling prison time, gun crime, knife crime, dealing and ultimately death, Bugzy Malone raps about the gritty, deathly reality of street life and gang membership. With his long over due, repeatedly delayed, new album 'The Resurrection' due to drop on May 28th Bugzy has chosen to drop yet another single from the album that is his follow up to 2018's 'B. Inspired'.
Of the fifteen tracks on Bugzy Malone's fifth full length studio album, six tracks, besides his latest, have already been released as singles. 'Men III', released in August last year was the first track to drop, followed by 'Don't Cry' in November, 'Cold Nights In The 61' in December, 'Notorious' in early January, 'Welcome To The Hood' in March and then 'Salvador' in mid April.
As well as talking us through his street life years with his biting social commentary, Bugzy is also keen to share every detail about his new Roller now that his former life is behind him. In between rapping about prison time Bugzy gives us the low down on his ride, "Stood starin' at the statue of ecstasy, I got it with a matte black finish, I had the 23's imported from Germany, if you haven't noticed the double R's not spinnin'." Enlightening stuff.
'The Resurrection' is released via Caroline International on May 28th.
