Actress Valerie Harper announced Wednesday that she’s suffering from terminal cancer. Since then, messages of love and support have been flying in for the woman who played Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spinoff Rhoda.

Fellow Mary Tyler Moore show colleague, Cloris Leachman, said on Twitter: "My longtime friendship w/ @ValerieHarper has been 1 of the gr8est gifts of my life. I'm here 4 any/everything she may need one day at a time." Harper got the news last early this year on January, 15. With an estimated three months left to live, she told People, "I don't think of dying. I think of being here now." Her old friend Larry King also took to Twitter, saying: "I've known Valerie Harper for years- enjoyed intv'ing her & being in her company-wishing her strength & good thoughts." Hoda Kotb of The Today Show said, "Hi @ValerieHarper ... @KathieLGifford and I are sending prayers your way #warmwave," with cohost Gifford adding later, "Lord bless you, Valerie."

''Here I go wheezing on at 91 years old and this beautiful, beautiful lady is facing something far too soon. We all love her so much, and we are going to make the most of every second we can,” said Betty White, who was a former The Mary Tyler Moore Show co-star, too, while Marie Osmond commended Harper's bravery in making the announcement. "It's just like @valerieharper to go forward with grace and appreciation," she wrote. "My prayers are with you, Valerie."
