Former RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE star Tom Morello and System Of A Down's Serj Tankian are offering striking grocery workers in California a little Christmas cheer after hastily organising a benefit concert.
Grocery workers in Los Angeles have been locked out of big stores ever since they went on strike in October (03) in a fight over a reduction of their benefits.
And, with many of them facing a grim Christmas, the two rock activists organised a benefit show to raise cash for them.
The duo were joined by Slipknot's Corey Taylor and cult Los Angeles group Phantom Planet among others at a concert last night (18DEC03).
Morello says, "The proceeds will go to the grocery store workers to help them buy presents for their kids."
