Kong: Skull Island was a lot of fun for all involved.
The making of Kong: Skull Island brought the diverse cast to a lot of exciting and visually stunning places which, thankfully, presented a lot of things to keep them occupied over the five months that they were shooting. Tom Hiddleston opened up about bonding over a variety of activities.
Tom Hiddleston had fun bonding with his co-stars
When your job takes you to the most beautiful places in the world - Queensland, Australia; Oahu, Hawaii; and Northern Vietnam - you'd be a fool not to make the most of what the local environment has to offer. For Tom Hiddleston, who plays James Conrad in 'Kong: Skull Island', he got the perfect opportunities to bond with his co-stars.
'We were all thrown together away from home in these very far-flung places and we bonded together very fast', he said. 'We sang karaoke in Hawaii, learnt how to surf on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, we went Go-Karting, we had barbecues, we went and got street food in Hanoi. It was really fun.'

Being so far away from home for such a long time can be very daunting for anyone, but it was a necessary factor in creating every corner of the mythical Island in which their story takes place. The film follows a group of soldiers and explorers who venture out to uncover the secrets of an uncharted island paradise, convinced that there's a creature out there of unique origin. Unfortunately for them, they have no idea just how much danger they are in once they trespass in the lair of the great Kong.
