The remaining members of TLC, T-Boz and Chilli, want full control over their final album, and instead of looking to a major record label for financial aid for the producing and promotion of the record, the R&B duo are appealing to their fans via a Kickstarter campaign.

TLC
T-Boz and Chilli have asked fans to help fudn their final album

On their Kickstarter homepage, T-Boz and Chilli ask for any donations to fund their next project, noting it is important their fans contribute to the group's final album.

"While major labels offer artists multimillion dollar recording and marketing budgets, they don't often give artists complete control of their own music," they wrote on their Kickstarter page. "It is ESSENTIAL that we create our final album completely on our own terms, without any restrictions, with YOU."

The pair's goal is to raise $150,000 in order to pay for recording sessions with producers and an engineer. If they surpass this amount, the extra cash will go towards booking music producers, writing sessions, mixing sessions, recording sessions, and much more.

Donations begin at only $5, but any eager fan who is willing to pay a bit extra will receive some nice perks. "We will send ALL BACKERS who pledge $5 or MORE a list of tracks we want to remix," T-Boz and Chilli wrote. "YOU will vote on your favorite, and the track with the most votes will be included on the album!!"

"We feel so blessed to have this opportunity to continue making music, and even more blessed that we get to do it with every single one of you," the pair added.
