The 'Kill Em With Kindness' hitmaker confirmed that she is working on new music after taking some time away from the industry to deal with her ''anxiety, panic attacks and depression'', which manifested itself because of her lupus condition.

She told The Today Show: ''I've been in the studio for a week straight and haven't really said anything about it.''

Little Mix are on top of the UK album chart again this week, with their fourth record Glory Days.

The girlband held on to the top spot after noticing up another 57,000 combined sales in the last seven days. The album has now sold over 1000,000 copies and has been certified Gold.

The Weeknd has finally dropped his eagerly anticipated third studio album today (November 25th 2016), two days after he unveiled a 12 minute long short film called 'MANIA'. The visual was released as a preview of a variety of tunes from the new release.

The video features a montage of imagery including a panther on a plinth, a cruising sports car with a 'Starboy' plate, a dancer in a club, a knife-wielding assailant and ends with The Weeknd and a girl getting cuddly on the aforementioned plinth. Meanwhile, the music is a medley of various previews from the 'Starboy' album, with songs such as 'All I Know', 'Sidewalks', 'I Feel It Coming', 'Die For You' and 'Party Monster'.

The Weeknd has finally unveiled the full tracklist for his soon to be released third album 'Starboy', which features collaborations with the likes of electronic duo Daft Punk and singer Lana Del Rey. The new album follows 2015's 'Beauty Behind the Madness' and explores the effects of fame.

The rapper released the tracklist via Twitter, along with an image of the album sleeve and on it we can see that it consists of 18 tracks, two of which are collaborations with Daft Punk ('Starboy' and 'I Feel It Coming'). Future also features as a guest on the song 'All I Know', while 'Sidewalks' marks The Weeknd's first collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. 'Stargirl Interlude' features Lana Del Rey, who also provides additional vocals for the song 'Party Monster'.

Lady GaGa is set for a very busy few months with a headline performance at the highly anticipated Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris this December.

The 30 year entertainer, who is currently topping the charts on both sides of the Atlantic with her new album Joanne, will play the prestigious fashion show on December 5th this year, in addition to her already-confirmed slot headlining the Super Bowl half-time show in February 2017 and a show on November 20th in L.A. as part of the American Music Awards.

Grammy winner The Weeknd has announced details of his brand new album, titled Starboy, which will follow just 15 months after the commercial success of his breakout record Beauty Behind the Madness.

Pitchfork reported on Thursday that Starboy, technically the singer-songwriter’s third studio album but his sixth if you include his string of mixtapes, will be released on November 25th via XO and Republic.

The 26 year old Canadian superstar, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, also made available the title track from the new album. ‘Starboy’ is a moody club number made in conjunction with none other than Daft Punk, and is currently available on Apple Music and Spotify.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards took place yesterday (May 22nd 2016) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Canadian singer The Weeknd taking home no less than eight gongs for his work over the past year. Adele also won big, though her five accolades were meagre compared to her R&B counterpart.

The Weeknd - real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye - landed almost more awards than he could carry. The prizes for Top Hot 100 Artist, Song Sales Artist, Radio Songs Artist, Streaming Songs Artist and Top R&B Artist were all presented to him, as was the Top R&B Song and Streaming Song for his number one platinum single 'The Hills' and the Top R&B Album for his second album 'Beauty Behind the Madness' released last year.

The president of the Grammy Awards has expressed his “disappointment” at Lauryn Hill’s dramatic last minute no-show at last night’s awards ceremony, where she had been expected to take to the stage with The Weeknd.

The former Fugees singer, who hasn’t released an album in nearly two decades since her massive 1998 record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, would have a surprise, unannounced addition to the nationally televised show last night, but she apparently pulled out of the duet just moments before she was due to go on stage with the ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ singer.

“It’s a disappointment to us and a disappointment to her,” said Grammys chief Neil Portnow to reporters the morning after. “Our intention was, and we were ready, right up to the moment of the performance, for her to step up on stage.”

The Weeknd persuaded his supermodel girlfriend Bella Hadid to star in his brand new music video for single ‘In The Night’, in which she stars as a beautiful but deadly dancer who saves the singer’s life.

In the clip for the new cut to be taken from his runaway hit album Beauty Behind the Madness, 19 year old Hadid features as a nightclub dancer who faces down and defeats a group of bad guys who infiltrate the place, while the singer himself mainly stands outside singing in the rain.

Taylor Swift is a top contender in the main categories

Taylor Swift is pretty much a Grammy staple these days having been nominated every year since 2012. She hasn't won anything the last two years, but we'd be surprised if she loses out in 2016. Single 'Blank Space' is up for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, while 'Bad Blood' featuring Kendrick Lamar could also bag Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video, and album '1989' is looking at Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Rihanna has been revealed as the most streamed female artist on Spotify in 2015, despite not releasing a new album. Fans of the pop queen clearly haven’t been too put off by the lack of new music, voraciously devouring her back catalogue as she racked up just over 1 billion streams for the year.

Spotify unveiled its end-of-year list on Tuesday (December 1st), which also showed Canadian rapper Drake to be the most streamed artist of the year altogether, with 1.8 billion plays of his back catalogue throughout the year after he dropped fourth album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late at the start of 2015.

It was a big night for British boyband One Direction at the American Music Awards on Sunday evening. The boyband took home the prize for artist of the year at the ceremony in Los Angeles, beating the likes of Ariana Grande, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.

One Direction won big at the American Music Awards.

The group, who also performed single ‘Perfect’ at the ceremony, have now won the fan-voted award two years in a row. They also took home the award for favourite pop/rock duo or group, beating Maroon 5 and Walk the Moon.
