The Upper Room Other People's Problems Album

What ever happened to the bloke partly responsible for 3 Lions?? Where is Ian Broudie now? Back in the day while Oasis and Blur were battling it out, The Lightning Seeds were merely getting on with their business banging out great pop tunes.

Now we are half way through this decade The Upper Room are ready to resurrect that style of music, for the more contemporary fan. The album kicks off in style with the first single from the album 'All Over This Town', which is an upbeat track that has you tapping ya foot to the beat. It continues straight through to what is favorite track on the album, 'Black And White' it's getting loads of exposure on the music video channels. Swansea City FC seems to agree that this is a quality song as they play it at every home game. OK more than likely because they play in Black And White. Things slow down with a ballad Embrace would have loved to have written when they were as young as The Upper Room.

The album does get dragged down with tracks such as 'Kill Kill Kill', which may pass you by, it could have been left off the album without being missed. 'Portrait' brings things back up to normal with something that does resemble a beat.
Again another disappointing track 'Once For Me' brings out the inconsistency of what could be a really good album. 'Other People's Problems' just seems to fall at the last hurdle which is a shame to what had such a great start.

There are a lot of good things about The Upper Room, i just hope they become a bit more consistent.
