Fact: Ryan Reynolds was literally left with egg on his face during an appearance on America's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (02Mar15) after playing a messy version of Russian Roulette. The actor accepted a challenge from host Jimmy Fallon to take turns in choosing from a carton of eggs, which contained eight hard boiled and four uncooked, and smashing them on their heads. Fallon became the first to break two raw eggs on his head and lost the game, but Reynolds wasn't left out - he chose badly on one occasion and was left with egg in his hair too.

The odd duel ended in a draw after both Fallon and Cooper smashed one raw egg and four hard-boiled on their heads, leaving only two fresh eggs left in the carton. They smashed those on each other's heads.

The fundraising phenomenon has taken social media by storm in recent weeks to raise money to fight Lou Gehrig's disease. Pop star Justin Timberlake performed the dare on Monday (11Aug14), and then nominated Fallon and The Roots crew to do the same, which they did within 24 hours. They also vowed to donate to the Als (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) Association to help raise awareness about the condition.

Actress Ellen Barkin pulled off her best Robin Wright impression to portray her stoic character Claire Underwood, while the U.S. talk show's new host, Jimmy Fallon, channelled Kevin Spacey's cunning Frank Underwood for the House of Cue Cards sketch, which ended with Leno pushing his successor in front of a New York City subway train, mirroring a scene in season two of the Netflix show. Leno signed off from The Tonight Show in February (14), after 22 years in the Tv spotlight.
