It's been one hell of a year for The Streets (aka Mike Skinner) and it's about to be capped off with the debut UK tour kicking off in Bristol this Saturday.
The tour also marks the launch of the very first Streets SMS promotion on the-streets.co.uk. Fans can claim an exclusive Streets lighter when they nominate three friends to download The Streets lighter phone logo from the site.
Another treat for fans is the availability of brand new footage that charts a day in the life of The Streets as Mr Mike Skinner attempts to assemble the very first Streets drum kit. If successful, a night out at Fabric beckons, that is, of course, after dinner.
Originally reluctant to take The Streets to the live arena, fans can now see Mike actively plotting The Streets live revolution from it's very early stages...building the drum kit!
Mr Mike Skinner has now fully transferred his bedroom produced album to the live arena after successful performances at the Carlsberg Reading/Leeds festivals this summer. They knew all the words! commented a very surprised Skinner. Despite his original reservations it seems his natural confidence and swagger meant his stage presence looks like that of an age old pro.
Now The Streets are ready to embark on a full UK and European tour.
The UK dates are as follows:
30th November - Bristol University
1st December - Glasgow Barrowlands
2nd December - Leeds University
4th December - Manchester Academy
