Sam Simon's Extensive Collection Of The Simpsons Memorabilia Is Set To Go Under The Hammer Six Months After His Death.
The show's co-creator passed away in March (15) following a battle with colon cancer, and now his impressive haul of souvenirs from the series is set to be sold off by auction house Sotheby's.
The trove, which also includes his fine art collection, is estimated to be worth up to $11.5 million (£7.2 million) and will be split into 260 lots across 11 auctions taking place from September (15) to June, 2016.
Items up for grabs include a 1990 The Simpsons pinball machine, which has an estimate of $1,000 (£625) to $2,000 (£1,250), and a jacket adorned with some of the show's characters, valued at $600 (£375) to $800 (£500).
All proceeds will go towards the late star's charity, the Sam Simon Charitable Giving Foundation, which supports animal welfare, disaster relief and other causes.
