'It Will Not Be Forgotten', released on August 8th via Polydor, is the fourth single from The Pierces' fourth studio album 'You & I' released in May 2011.
The video features the girls in some woods, dressed in long flowing dresses and headbands, twirling and dancing around trees. Much of the video uses soft focus and the bright colours and the dreamy effect heightens the hypnotic harmonies of the tune.
Alabama born sisters Allison and Catherine Pierce released their self titled debut album in 2000, while still attending Auburn University in Alabama. Their second album, 'Light of the Moon' was released through Universal Records in August 2005, while the follow up album, 'Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge' was put out through Lizard King Records, a New York and London based independent record label who released the first material from The Killers.
'You & I' was produced by Guy Berryman, who is best known for being the bassist in Coldplay; it entered at number 4 in the UK album charts in June (2011).
The Pierces are supporting Coldplay at the iTunes Live Festival later this month (July 22nd) and can also be seen at a number of festivals in the UK, the dates of which are listed below:
Sun 14th August Summer Sundae, Leicester
Sat 20th August V Festival, Staffs
Sun 21st August V Festival, Essex
