Influential Scottish Indie Act The Jesus & Mary Chain Are Developing Their First New Album In Over 15 Years.
Brothers Jim and William Reid disbanded the group shortly after releasing Munki in 1998, but they reformed to perform at California's Coachella festival in 2007 and have been on the road ever since.
And now Jim reveals the siblings are recording a long-awaited follow-up to Munki.
He tells Time Out New York, "We’re doing an album now. We actually just started recording. It’s early days, but I would say it’s a more mature sound for the Mary Chain. But let's just wait and see."
The Jesus & Mary Chain are currently touring the world to celebrated the 30th anniversary of their cult debut album Psychocandy.
