Rocker Bruce Foxton Has Lost His Urge To Reform The Jam Because All Three Former Members Are So Busy.
The bassist has frequently told of his desire to reunite the legendary British band since they split in 1982, and he even formed a 'tribute' act called From The Jam, with drummer Rick Buckler.
However, his repeated calls for frontman Paul Weller to bow down and join in a full reunion were snubbed, and now even Foxton himself has accepted it is unnecessary for the Going Underground hitmakers to launch a comeback.
In an article for Britain's Daily Telegraph, he writes, "The Jam have never reunited. I've played with Rick in From the Jam, and appeared with Paul at the Royal Albert Hall over the years, but never the three of us together. We are all in good places now: I'm recording a new album, Rick's got an autobiography out, and Paul's still riding high. We're happy doing our own thing, so there's no need to get back together for the sake of it. I'd never say never, though."
