The Great Escape Festival is set to return to Brighton for its 10th anniversary, bringing with it yet another year of remarkable up and coming bands. The final 150 acts have now been announced, and there's plenty to look forward to.
The SXSW of the UK, Great Escape has played host to some of the best bands the world has to offer, and this year is no different. Across more than 30 venues, the festival will be showcasing hundreds of acts with a massive 18,000 fans expected to show up to experience the meaning of music. So just who's turning out to celebrate 10 years of awesome sounds?
Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes will be returning, having appeared at the 2012 edition of The Great Escape. He has just released his second solo album 'Matador', so it will no doubt be an exciting show. The Cribs, who first played the festival in 2006, will also be displaying their new album; 'For All My Sisters' was released earlier this month.
Also among the final additions is one of the world's most exciting R&B newcomers Lion Babe, who are set to release a brand new single produced by Pharrell Williams entitled 'Wonder Woman'. They'll be joined by Hertfordshire singer-songwriter Rhodes, Irish rock quartet The Strypes and Brighton's own Fickle Friends, who will be releasing their debut EP 'Velvet' just after TGE on May 25th.
Tickets are now available, with 3-day passes priced at £54.00 and 1 and 2-day tickets at £25.00. The Great Escape Festival takes place on May 14th - 16th.
