Former The Cure drummer Lol Tolhurst is to rejoin the band for the first time in 22 years at a special show in honour of its seminal album Faith.
Tolhurst was a founding member of the Lovecats hitmakers but was kicked out of the band in 1989 as he battled a drink problem.
Last year (10) he reached out to frontman Robert Smith in a bid to rejoin the group on the anniversary of its landmark 1981 record - and Smith has agreed to welcome Tolhurst back into the fold for a tribute concert in Sydney, Australia.
The Cure will play their first three albums at Sydney Opera House on Tuesday (31May11) and Wednesday (01Jun11), with Tolhurst joining them on drums and keyboards for the Faith section of the show.
