Hailing from Otley in West Yorkshire, rock foursome The Chevin is quickly becoming one of Britain's finest. They release their new single 'Drive' on May28th 2012 through So Recordings; the track is taken from their upcoming album 'Borderland' to be released in August.
A colourful, kaleidoscopic video has been released for the equally as colourful track which is infused with melodic guitar riffs and upbeat electronic sounds. The instrumental coupled with the soothing, indie-style voice of lead vocalist Coyle Girelli make it truly a dance/rock anthem to be enjoyed this summer.
They have previously toured with fellow Leeds band The Pigeon Detectives, White Lies and The Airborne Toxic Event as well as releasing their debut six track EP 'Champion' earlier in the year. Their emotionally charged debut album is to be recorded in a South Texas recording studio and produced by Noah Shain (Skrillex, Fool's Gold). 'The last few years have been a time of break-ups and I've had some close friends pass away as well as family', says Coyle Girelli. 'Melodically it's quite uplifting, but the undertone is constantly sad.'
The Chevin are confirmed to make an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman later in the year.
