Taylor Swift might be gone from Spotify, but it seems her loyal fans have moved on to get their Swifty-fix elsewhere, namely on Youtube, of course. Yes while you can no longer stream your favourite Swift hits through Spotify you can still listen to all her classics on Youtube, where you can also watch the videos.

On November 3rd Swift and her label Big Machine Records, shocked music fans and Spotify diehards by pulling all her songs from the streaming service after the release of new album 1989. But within the first week of Swift leaving Spotify, Mashable reports that the singer’s daily YouTube views doubled, according to Nielsen Music Connect.

For the week ending November 9th, the number of people streaming Swift's official YouTube and Vevo videos doubled, skyrocketing from around 12.5 million daily views on November 3rd to almost 24 million daily views on November 9th. Specifically the video for ‘Shake It Off’ saw a marked increase, with views rising by 120%.

Over the next week Swift’s views increased again, by 72% week-over-week, thanks to the release of the epic 'Blank Space' video on November 10th. However after leaving Spotify, Swift's overall audio streams have predictably decreased, despite her pre-1989 catalogue still be available on Beats and Rhapsody’s paid platforms.

But wherever fans chose to listen to Taylor it didn't hurt the sales of 1989 which shifted an amazing two million copies in just three weeks. Within its first week of release the album also became the only record of 2014 to achieve platinum status, as well as amassing the biggest first week sales since 2002's The Eminem Show.

So as it turns out, Taylor might not need Spotify after all...
