It's not often a simple music video receives this much hype before anyone has even seen it - but the video for Taylor Swift's new single 'Bad Blood' looks to be anything but simple. It's a celebrity-packed spectacle with a Sin City-like visual style, and Swift has just revealed the lead actress at the centre of all the drama is Selena Gomez, playing a femme fatale named Arsyn.

Selena Gomez joins Swift (who plays Catastrophe) and a long list of other female stars in the video, including Gigi Hadid (as Slay-Z), Hayley Williams (The Crimson Curse), Ellie Goulding (Destructa X), Lena Dunham (Lucky Fiori) and Jessica Alba (Domino).

Swift teased the announcement earlier in the day, getting her 57 million (!) followers excited for the big reveal:

She then revealed that Gomez will star in the much-hyped mini-film:

The video for 'Bad Blood', directed by Joseph Kahn, premieres tomorrow (Sunday 17 May) at the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, introduced by Taylor Swift herself. And the singer could also be taking home a pile of awards from the ceremony, with no less than 14 nominations. Sam Smith is the next most-nominated with 13, followed by Iggy Azalea, who could win up to 12 awards.
