Yet again, Taylor Swift proved that she’s pretty much the coolest person in the world, this time by throwing a huge birthday party over the Easter weekend for her best friend. The pop star attended a surprise 25th party for her BFF Abigail Anderson in Nashville on Saturday night that included a specially arranged guest appearance.

Swift had organised an impromptu performance by Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, which happens to be Anderson’s favourite band! Paramore’s Haley Williams was also in attendance, and the two of them broke out an acoustic performance of Dashboard’s 2002 hit ‘Hands Down’.

The ‘Shake It Off’ singer shared moments and clips from the party on her Instagram account, captioned “Since ’05. @abigail_lauren”. The two met ten years ago during their freshman year at Hendersonville High School.

In one of the clips, she springs the big surprise by announcing to the partygoers “I'm just asking a random question: Do we have anyone here named Chris Carrabba? Is there a Chris Carrabba? Is there? Is there a Chris Carrabba?”

Other guests picture in Swift’s Instagram gallery of pictures of the evening are her model friend Lily Aldridge and the four family members of rock group Kings Of Leon (lead singer Caleb Followill is Aldridge’s husband).

Anderson took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards her best friend for contributing so memorably to her big evening. “Hands down this is the best day I can ever remember. I’ll always remember,” cheekily quoting the lyrics to Carrabba’s song that she had been singing.

Swift’s brother Austin was also there, and the following day the two siblings enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt at their family home courtesy of their parents, another event she documented on social media.
