Yet more tragedy has stricken Sylvester Stallone and his family, as his half-sister Toni is said to be in a critical condition at UCLA hospital, Los Angeles, suffering from lung cancer.
Toni had been living with their mother, Jackie Stallone, after she was diagnosed with the illness, however she has now been admitted to hospital as her condition has worsened. This tragic news comes close to another heart-rending misfortune suffered by the Stallones, after Sly's son Sage was found dead in his Los Angeles home last month (July 13). The grieving Stallones are currently on holiday in France with Sly, his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and his three daughters retreating to the European country to help deal with the loss of Sage.
Jackie, who is 90 years old, has spoken to reporters with the New York Post, speaking of her sorrow and explaining her daughter's condition. She explained that "Toni Ann is not doing well at all. She has lung cancer Stage 4, she has liver cancer, it has spread to her brain". Both Jackie and Edmund, Toni's son, have spoken about Sly's role as a morale booster for the family and although he is out of the country, he has been incredibly helpful in restoring some faith in the family despite the continuing losses.
