Rocky star Sylvester Stallone is alive and well, following a sick death hoax which spread on social media over the weekend. While the actor has not referenced the hoax, he returned to Instagram on Saturday posting a fun pic of himself posing with champion boxer Sergey “Krusher"Kovzalev.

The hoax started on Saturday when a fake CNN news story began circulating online, causing fans to go into a meltdown on Twitter. The spam article spread quickly on Facebook, with it being shared on the pages of users after they had clicked on the link to read more.

On Twitter anxious fans wondered if the story was true, or if 70-year-old Stallone was the latest victim of a celebrity death hoax. But on Saturday the actor proved he was alive and well by posting a photo with Sergey “Krusher”Kovzalev.

The fun photo showed the champion boxer pretending to punch the Rocky star. Stallone captioned the pic: ‘With the incredibly powerful unified light heavyweight champion, Sergey “Krusher”Kovzalev “… Whatever he hits, he destroys”@sergeykovalev…’

Hours later the actor then shared a video from his outing to a Train gig, captioned: ‘Train was great tonight… That Man can sing!’ It’s not the first time Stallone has been the victim of a cruel death hoax. Two years ago a similar story spread online, saying the actor had been killed in a car accident.
