Boyle was said to have had an argument with a family member during a trip to Northern Ireland.
Singer Susan Boyle caused concern at Derry Airport in Northern Ireland last week, after making a frantic phone call and shouting “Help me!” in front of fellow passengers. According to The Mirror, Boyle was then led into a side room by airport staff who comforted her.
Susan Boyle worried passengers at Derry Airport last week.
An onlooker told the newspaper: “There was quite a buzz in the airport when people became aware of her presence. To see her running through the airport after she left to board the flight, screaming for help, was the last thing anyone expected to see.”

Ahead of the season, Lily Allen's Christmas single proves to be a chart climber.
You know it’s the holiday season when songs from Christmas adverts take over the charts – in this case it’s Lily Allen’s cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know. The track, which is featured in a John Lewis ad campaign, was bumped off the top last week. The gentle tones of Somewhere, so unlike Allen’s latest previous single Hard Out Here, still managed to topple One Direction’s Story of My Life and Bastille’s Of The Night.
Allen's Christmas cover will have to hold out for another two weeks against tough competition.
According to the Official Charts Company, Allen’s festive cover might even have a chance at the coveted Christmas Number one – provided it can outlast the competition. Somewhere Only We Know would have to beat songs by the likes of AC/DC, U2, and Susan Boyle to hold on to its Number 1 for two more weeks. This year’s festive chart sees the return of both X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent alumni, as James Arthur, Leona Lewis and Lucy Spraggan, as well as Richard & Adam and Susan Boyle will all be releasing singles. With so many people staking a claim at the Christmas Number 1, Allen will have a tough time keeping her lead.
Susan Boyle has revealed she was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome in 2012 and hopes "people will treat me better because they will have a much greater understanding of who I am."
Susan Boyle is undoubtedly the biggest and most heart-warming success story from any reality talent show that have dominated the television screens in the last decade.
Four years ago in 2009 the Scottish born auditionee shocked the world with a mind-blowing performance of 'I Dreamed A Dream' on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
In present day Boyle is a top selling artist, selling over 19 million albums worldwide and has received two Grammy Award nominations.

A Susan Boyle movie, why not?
Fresh after news that Susan Boyle will be the first British artist duet with Elvis Prelsey, we've also learned that the big-screen movie adaptation of the singer's life is finally in development.
The singer, who became a global star after finishing second on Britain's Got Talent, told gathered journalists at a press conference to "watch this space" for more announcements on the movie.
She said: "There are plans in operation for that, but that's for later on," according to BBC Newsbeat.

It's not really a duet... is it
Don’t ask how, but Susan Boyle is recording a Christmas single with Elvis Presley. The Scottish singer looks as bemused as anyone else, and what’s worse, is that no one seems to be explaining what the hell’s going on. Elvis Presley is dead.
“To sing with Elvis, I didn't think it would be possible... isn't technology brilliant?' said Boyle, totally ignoring what we just said. "Dueting with Elvis was beyond my wildest dreams and now that this is able to raise money and help children, it is simply fantastic." (Express)
Word just in: it’s not really a duet. Not really. Boyle will just be singing over a recording of Elvis singing. So it’s like some humming along to the radio but with words. It’s singing – singing over something else.
Former 'Britain's Got Talent' finalist Susan Boyle is teaming up with the King of Rock 'n' Roll for a version of 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful'
Susan Boyle has already lived out her life-long ambitions by performing alongside the likes of Elaine Paige and Donny Osmond since she was catapulted to stardom through her performance on Britain's Got Talent, and now the Scottish singer will get to fulfil another life-long ambition by performing with The King himself; Elvis Presley.
Su-Bo will be achieving a life-long goal by dueting with The King
Su-Bo will release her first Christmas-themed studio album, Home For Christmas, in time for the festive period and has promised no shortage of surprises for the yuletide LP, her fifth album to date. She will become the first British artist to duet with Elvis through the use of studio wizardry on a version of the well-known carol 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful,' the Sunday People first reported this weekend. The self confessed Elvis fanatic admitted to the paper that the singing opportunity is a “dream come true.”

The Britain's Got Talent singer will head out on a whistle-stop tour around her native Scotland and should it go well enough then full run of shows might be on the cards, but not before she's met a man
Susan Boyle has achieved more than most people do in only a few short years and now the singer wants to continue following the trajectory of her rise to the top by heading out on her first ever solo tour. The Britain's Got Talent runner-up will perform at a handful of venues around her native Scotland, and while she's on the road the singer has made no secret of the fact that she will be on the prowl for any potential suitors.
SuBo may take her tour across the globe
The songbird was speaking with the Scottish Sun to promote her tour when the subject of her love life was brought up.
Emeli Sande is academically decorated.
Emeli Sande has been awarded an honorary Doctor of the University degree by the University of Glasgow. The singer received the prestigious honour for her outstanding contribution to the music industry, reports BBC News.
Sande’s degree will no doubt sit proudly next to her other academic achievement – an intercalculated degree in neuroscience from the same university between 2006 and 2009. Professor John Briggs, Clerk of Senate and Vice-Principal of the University of Glasgow, said: “The University of Glasgow is very pleased to recognise Emeli Sande's huge contribution to music, both in the Uk and around the world, by awarding her an honorary degree.”
It’s been a ridiculously successful year for Sande, who performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies at the London Olympics. She has scored three number one singles from her debut album Our Version of Events, which has sold 1.5 million copies in the Uk alone. It spent 66 consecutive weeks in the Top 10, finally dropping out on May 26, 2013.

The singer, who has never been on a solo tour before, will follow up her Scotland dates with a full world tour if they are a success.
Britain's Got Talent's biggest star (after Simon Cowell of course) Susan Boyle has announced that she is to go on a mini tour of her native Scotland this summer, promising to head on a global tour should the shows be a success. In addition to heading out on her first ever solo tour, the singer is also eyeing up a residency in Las Vegas following her stint on the road.
SuBo has never been on tour by herself in the four years since she first achieved fame, but she intends to change that this summer when she headlines the Susan Boyle In Concert in July. The tour will continue throughout the month, beginning in Inverness before moving to Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh. In a statement release with the information of her tour, the 52-year-old Blackburn, West Lothian-native said: “If this works well, then the world is my oyster and 2014 will be a global tour."

Grand plans rumored for Scottish singing sensation
As she announced a long awaited tour of her homeland, Scotland, Susan Boyle was also eyeing up a possible lucrative residency in Las Vegas – if you believe a source supposedly close to the Britain’s Got Talent alumni and multi-million selling singer.
Boyle is going to be playing five dates in Scotland through July, but has her sights set on much grander ventures according to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mirror. The insider must be pretty close to SuBo, because they even seem to know what she wants on her rider – and it’s nowhere near as grand as other stars with even the slightest bit of her popularity. “Susan loves Barry Tea, which is an Irish tea that’s also really popular in Scotland. She doesn’t like American tea, so she brings her own supply of tea bags.”
So what of this Las Vegas ruse then? Boyle has performed there before, joining her idol Donny Osmond on stage for a song at the Flamingo Hotel in October last year. Apparently, though she’d love a residency there, following in the footsteps of Celine Dion, Elton John and, y’know, all the greats. “Las Vegas is one of the ultimate spots for a performer to play and a residency is a huge deal, but then Susan is a big star who’s sold more than 19 million albums” the insider said. Indeed she has, insider, indeed she has.
Unlikely singing sensation Susan Boyle will be starring in her debut movie, The Christmas Candle
The singer Susan Boyle is all set to make her movie debut, in a Christmas movie entitled The Christmas Candle. The 51 year-old former Britain’s Got Talent star will be starring in the period drama movie, which reportedly involves angels and a magic candle. The Daily Mail first unveiled the news.
The Scottish singer wowed Britain’s Got Talent’s audience (and indeed the celebrity judges) when she took to the stage, looking like something of an unlikely choice of contestant, but turning out to have an enviable set of pipes on her. Whether or not Boyle will manage to stun her detractors with an Oscar-worthy acting performance, however, remains to be seen. The Christmas Candle reportedly features Boyle as the wife of a church warden, living in the village of Gladbury, which is visited by an angel every 25 years. Samantha Barks (Les Miserables), Lesley Manville, Sylvester McCoy and John Hannah are all also scheduled to appear in the festive movie. Shooting will take place in the Cotswolds and Boyle is rumoured to have her very own song written for her, for a scene in the church.

Susan Boyle on the set of her first film
The perils of filming in winter; it’s not all glitz and glamour on film sets, especially when the temperatures drop. And Susan Boyle is learning this the hard way while filming for her first big-screen performance.
She will appear opposite Les Miserables star Samantha Barks in period film The Christmas Candle. Barks, like Boyle, found fame thanks to a TV talent show. She was a runner-up on BBC programme I’d Do Anything. "Everyone on set is a delight to work with and it's a fantastic experience to be part of the team," Boyle said in a statement."I'm really enjoying getting dressed in the period costumes and stepping back in time and although it's very cold filming on location - I'm wearing long johns under my bustle." As of yet, it is unknown what part Boyle will be playing in the film. Sylvester McCoy, John Hannah, Barbara Flynn and James Cosmo are also in the cast and filming started on the Isle of Man this week. The film’s plot revolves around the tale of angel that visits the village candle maker every 25 years, and will no doubt be aiming for a restive release.

Channel 4 must be breathing a huge sigh of relief that they didn’t decide to invite Frankie Boyle on this year’s Big Fat Quiz show, because they’ve managed to cause enough controversy, without having the sharp-tongued Scotsman on board. This year, the damage has been done largely by Jack Whitehall and James Corden, who were openly drinking a bottle of red wine throughout the show and made a number of crude jokes about The Queen, as well as Barack Obama and Susan Boyle.
Lord Burns, the chairman of Channel 4, declined the opportunity to speak to the Daily Mail about the show, but the British newspaper is up in arms about its distasteful content. The outrage has spread beyond the press, though, with Tory MP Conor Burns – a member of the Commons’ culture media and sport select committee – demanding to know why the show was aired as early as 9pm. “I actually watched some of the broadcast because we are staying with family for the holidays and I found it quite distasteful,” said the MP. “It was base, unfunny comedy and in some ways I thought its greater crime really was that it just wasn’t funny.”
At one point during the show, James Corden and Jack Whitehall attempted to cover up one of their answers, aware that it was inappropriate, but eventually revealed what they had written on the screen anyway. A sample of the ‘vulgar’ comedy on display during the quiz was Whitehall’s comment about Cary Rae Jepsen: “If you had given your number to someone like Carly Rae Jepsen and discovered how annoying she was, you would suck someone’s c*** to get rid of her.”
We all saw it, you all saw it, we certainly got some visitors to the site via some interesting search terms; Susan Boyle’s press agency committed a horrendous gaffe this week by opting to hashtag the launch event for the Scottish reality star’s new album #susanalbumparty.
Whilst you’re all trying to either a) work out what’s quite so wrong about that (trust there, really is something so so wrong) or b) trying to get rid of a hideous image that might have cropped up in your mind let’s take a ponder as to whether this is going to make much an impact on the sales of Boyle’s new album Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs from The Stage. In reality, we’re not sure that it is. It was a great man who once said ‘there’s no such thing as bad publicity’ and there’s no denying that the hashtag has given Boyle plenty of publicity on Twitter, with everyone making wise cracks about the unfortunate tag. It’s hard to imagine that anyone who was going to buy Boyle’s album will suddenly not because of it – come to think of it, we’re still utterly baffled about who it is that does by her records – and we’re not particularly sure that those laughing at her PR company were planning on getting themselves a copy of it either way.
Boyle’s fame seems unstoppable, and you can hardly blame the singer for the mistake that her PR made. So our prediction? She’ll be selling albums like hot cakes again. Hopefully any subsequent party she’ll have will be a little more respectful that her PRs seem to be planning.

As marketing goes, pitching Susan Boyle's album launch as Su's anal bum party represents a stark disparity from reality. Still, coming up with the twitter tag #susanalbumparty, in an unfortunate sequence of words was always likely to attract some stick.
A sweet woman by all accounts, Susan Boyle doesn't seem the kind of person to invite people to a fetishist orgy, but the people in charge of marketing the release of her new album didn't really think it through when they combined the words Susan, album and party to inadvertently invite people to an anal bum party, hosted by Su. Still, all the attention, aside from summoning a tirade of twitter mockery, has planted the release of Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs From The Stage. Some of the best tweets in response to the faux pa are right here... Lisa Snowdon wrote: "I don't think Susan Boyle's record company thought this hash tag thru properly..." while Nicole Richie simply tweeted: "LMFAO OH MY GOD." Comedy actor David Schneider observed: "Susan Boyle might want a word with her social media team - #susanalbumparty doesn't read well as a hashtag."
So what do you think? Is this an ingenious plot of PR? Or has some marketing intern found his or her unpaid slog at an untimely end, such was the apparent negligence when adopting social media in an unfortunate amalgamation of words.
OK, so who got fired from Susan Boyle’s promo team today (November 21, 2012)? Surely someone’s head’s on the line, after a botched attempt to promote the Scottish warbler’s album party? Or perhaps they have been promoted!? Whoever’s in charge of Boyle’s Twitter feed is either incredibly clever, or lacks attention to detail in their work. Either way, the hashtag #susanalbumparty has gone viral. Not necessarily because tons of Twitter users got excited about the arrival of Boyle’s new album, but because the hashtag has been interpreted as “Su’s anal bum party.” Nice image.
The commentary has been non-stop since people started noticing the gaffe and some of the tweets on the matter have been downright hilarious. Neil Thomason (@xneilbombx) joked “stoked for the #susanalbumparty it's gonna be pretty wild. I wish she'd do a webcam for it too,” the very thought of which makes us shudder, whilst some users were in such disbelief that they started to wonder whether or not the whole thing was an elaborate Twitter myth. “No! Surely Susan Boyle isn't using the hashtag #susanalbumparty to launch her new album? Has to be a prank? Surely...no?” said Rab Boyle, aka @RFC_Rab.
Whether or not it’s a myth, Boyle’s marketing team should clearly be rubbing their hands with glee right now because there are very few people on Twitter right now that aren’t aware of the fact that Susan has a new album out. And now you know, too – such is the power of the internet. Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs From The Stage is available to buy now.
The amazing story of Susan Boyle's rise to fame is set to be made into a Hollywood blockbuster and the Scottish singing sensation has big ideas for the cast. The I Dreamed A Dream star, 51, has just returned from the US where she signed a megabucks deal for the movie.
Filming will start next year, and Boyle has already decided who she wants to play her manager - George Clooney. "It's wishful thinking. But it's Hollywood... anything can happen," she told The Sun. The Descendants star is working on a couple of movies, though his filming schedule is relatively clear for the next couple of years. So if the Hollywood star ends up playing Boyle's manager, who will play the singer herself? Actress Elaine C Smith, best known for playing Mary in Scottish sitcom Rab C Nesbitt, played the Britain's Got Talent star in the stage-play of Boyle's life, though it's unlikely she'll star in the movie adaptation.
Boyle's fourth studio album Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs From The Stage was released on November 13, 2012. It features renditions of songs from musical theatre shows and films and includes duets with Donny Osmond and Michael Crawford.

Still riding high at the top of the US Billboard chart, is Taylor Swift – everybody’s favourite country music princess turned pop star. Her album, Red, is currently enjoying its third week at the top of the US chart but there are some high profile releases coming out this week. We’ve profiled a few of them below but there are others to be considered too, such as Rolling Stones’ Greatest Hits anthology, GRRR! and Susan Boyle’s latest album, Standing Ovation.
Here’s our pick of the best US releases this week… our money’s on One Direction politely asking Taylor swift to leave that seat at the top of the Billboard chart, with their album Take Me Home. And hey, who could resist the charm of those young Brits, eh?
If anyone’s going to challenge Taylor this week, One Direction could well be the act to do it. Their debut album, Up All Night is already sitting respectably at number 23 in the Billboard albums chart and, with a recent appearance on the US X Factor show under their belts, they are surely destined for big things with their sophomore effort. They have already become one of the biggest success stories in chart history, in terms of UK imports. With their debut album, One Direction became the first British band in US chart history to top the Billboard 200 chart with a debut album. Their popularity has grown, even since then and they’re fast becoming one of the biggest bands on the planet. Their last single ‘Live While We’re Young’ was a number 3 hit and they’re our tip for the top this week.
