Fact: Lady GaGa's Super Bowl Halftime Show has become the most-watched musical event, and the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime performance, of all time. The National Football League (NFL) said approximately 118 million viewers tuned into watch the live broadcast on 5 February (17), while an estimated 150 million views have accumulated across NFL's digital platforms, including NFL.com, NFL Mobile, Twitter, YouTube and Giphy.

Fact: Justin Bieber reportedly earned a staggering $2 million (£1.6 million) for appearing in T-Mobile's Super Bowl advert in which he urged his fans to share their best touchdown celebrations for the company's #UnlimitedMoves campaign. American football player Rob Gronkowski, whose New England Patriots team won the Super Bowl on Sunday (05Feb17), also appeared in the advert but was only paid $250,000 (£201,000), according to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.

Fact: The highly-anticipated second season of Netflix horror drama Stranger Things will premiere on Halloween (31Oct17). A promo aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday night (05Feb17), teasing the return of Millie Bobby Brown's character Eleven and a host of dark developments in the troubled town of Hawkins.

Fact: Former U.S. President George H. W. Bush and his wife Barbara will flip the coin before the Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday (05Feb17). The 92-year-old tweeted his excitement about the prospect on Wednesday (01Feb17), sharing a video of himself practising getting "fired up" before the big day. The announcement comes after Bush was hospitalised last month (Jan17) for pneumonia. Former First Lady Barbara was also briefly hospitalised as a "precaution", but family spokesperson Jim MCGrath confirmed both were home on Monday (30Jan17).
